Project Offensive Language  – via Zoom – UK Wide

The research project itself will comprise: accessing an online platform to complete a pre-task ahead of the research, attending an online focus group via Zoom, and then, if you would like to, completing an optional follow-up task reflecting on the research in your own time (this will take around 10-15 minutes).

The focus group will last up to 2 hours and will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, or at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, 13th. Males and Females aged 18-55+

Ipsos UK would like to audio record the group, and your right to withdraw from the research at any point during the session remains.

Observers from Ipsos and Ofcom will be able to watch the group session live. Ofcom will sign a confidentiality agreement and will not be permitted to participate, take notes, or disclose your identity.

Those who are eligible and willing to participate will receive £10 + a pre-task for completing the pre-task, £60 for attending the online focus group, and an additional £10 for completing the optional post-task. TOTAL = £80:00 – THIS WILL BE ON A VIRTUAL VISA CARD THAT CAN BE USED ANYWHERE A VISA CAN BE USED / or VOUCHER. Participants will have the option to choose a gift card from over 100 brands, including a Virtual Mastercard.

• Everyone taking part in the research will have a range of different experiences to talk about, so don’t worry, there are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers

• Turning up for the interview/focus group on time
• If you have lied to qualify, YOU WILL NOT BE PAID ANY INCENTIVE, and your recruiter will not be paid their recruitment fee
• Any wifi issues that affect the interview may result in you receiving a reduced or no incentive
• Using a device which has not been allowed will result in a reduced or no incentive
• Conducting your interview from your car will result in no incentive
