Project Planning – Online

The research is about people’s recent experiences of arranging a funeral for a loved one and how that experience may or may not have shaped their thoughts about planning for the future (i.e. their own funeral planning).

Please reassure participants that we will not be going into personal or detailed specifics. We’ll also explore views on the role Funeral Directors can play in providing information or support around future funeral planning.

Please be aware that…

They cannot take part in the session using a mobile phone – it must be a computer/laptop or tablet

They will need to be seated somewhere quiet and well-lit where they will not be disturbed for the duration of the session. Their camera must be switched on

They must make sure they log in to the video call 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time

Ensure the camera on their laptop/tablet is roughly at eye-level

Each person receives £60 for their time – paid via BACS

The times of the sessions:

• Arranged a funeral for a loved one in the last 12 months, loved one had a funeral plan in place – Open to considering a funeral plan themselves (do not already have one) – Wednesday 2nd @6:00pm
• Arranged a funeral for a loved one in the last 12 months, loved one DID NOT have a funeral plan in place – Open to considering a funeral plan themselves (do not already have one – Wednesday 2nd September – 7:45 pm
• Arranged a funeral for a loved one in the last 12 months, loved one had a funeral plan in place – Open to considering a funeral plan themselves (do not already have one) –   Thursday 3rd September- 6:00 pm
• Arranged a funeral for a loved one in the last 12 months, loved one DID NOT have a funeral plan in place – Open to considering a funeral plan themselves (do not already have one) Thursday 3rd September – 7:45 pm

Note: A 15-minute arrival window is required to ensure all technical connections are functioning

All data collected is processed in accordance with GDPR. Personal information is used solely for this research and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent.

All our research is conducted in line with the MRS (Market Research Society) guidelines, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The research session may be video/audio recorded, and these recordings will be used by us / our client in line with our policies and the above regulations for this study only.

• Everyone taking part in the research will have a range of different experiences to talk about, so don’t worry, there are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers 

PLEASE NOTE: All to be truthful with the information that is given

• Turning up for the interview/focus group on time
• If you have lied to qualify, YOU WILL NOT BE PAID ANY INCENTIVE, and your recruiter will not be paid their recruitment fee.
• If Wi-Fi issues affect the interview, you may receive a reduced or no incentive.
• Using an unauthorised device will result in a reduced or no incentive.
• Conducting your interview from your car will result in no incentive
